It thrives best in bright, indirect light or partial shade.
It can tolerate medium light, but insufficient light should be avoided as it will slow its growth.
Small-sized Chinese fan palms can grow in moderate sunlight. Excessive direct sunlight can scorch the leaves.
Larger-sized Chinese fan palms can grow in full sun.
- Please note that it has sharp barbs on the stems of its fronds.
